Veronica R. Dehne, age 74, a Newton resident, passed away Monday afternoon December 20, 2021 at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc.
She was born March 7, 1947, daughter of the late Gordon and Virginia (Knudson) Wittmus. Veronica graduated from Manitowoc Lincoln High School with the class of 1965. She married Richard C. Dehne on September 17, 1966 at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on July 29, 1975. Veronica then married Harold P. Dehne Jr. on August 18, 1976 at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on April 16th 2006. She spent many years working at Tecumseh Products in New Holstein prior to the closing of the company. In her younger years she liked to sit and talk with family while smoking cigarettes and drinking diet coke. She enjoyed painting ceramics and cement figurines. Later in life, she enjoyed watching the Hallmark channel and ordering off QVC. This has been a plaque to the family even after death. She always enjoyed when her family and friends would stop to visit.
Survivors include her children William (Deanna) Dehne, Newton; Tina (special friend Keith) Dehne, Newton; Shawn (Tammy) Dehne, Cleveland, seven grandchildren: Beth (Richard) Hebert, Casey (special friend Nichelle) Dehne, Abby Seal, Christine (special friend Frank) Barta, Hailey Dehne, Hannah Dehne, Harrison Dehne, six great granddaughters: Jordyn, Serenity, Luanna, Aaliyah, Londyn, Oaklee, Avalynn, four brothers: LeRoy (Karen) Wittmus, Wayne Wittmus, Werner (Nanette) Wittmus, Dale Wittmus, two brothers-in-law and four sisters-in-law. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
She was also preceded in death by one grandson, Brent R Dehne, two brothers: Gordon and Albertus, two sisters: Ordella and Henrietta, two brothers-in-law: Edward and Eugene, one sister-in-law, Kathy, one niece, Linda.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Monday December 27, 2021 at Lendman Funeral Home & Gathering Center, 4638 Expo Drive, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM on Monday December 27, 2021 at Lendman Funeral Home & Gathering Center, 4638 Expo Drive, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be Pastor Mark Johnston. Burial of the cremated remains will be held at a later date at St. Johns Cemetery, Newton.

So sorry for the loss of your mother, Tina. She was part of the old gang from the 1960’s and will be missed by many. Cherish the memories you shared. Her spirit lives on, let her love surround you.
