Llewellyn Benjamin Vernon Braun, better known as “Buddy”, truly lived for 73 years. Born on July 17th, 1944 in Gillett, WI, to Walter & Nora Braun, Buddy has impacted every life he touched, ever since. Never giving up without a fight, he passed peacefully on November 19th, 2017. Although he has left us to be with the good Lord in heaven, the memory of him will forever remain.
Buddy was absolutely a legend. Anywhere he went, whether here or there, near or far, somebody always recognized him. Dressed to impress in his Elvis attire, there was always someone, asking for an autograph, or photo with him. If you were lucky enough, he would even sing for you. Not only was he a talented performer, excellent artist, & superb storyteller, he also enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, camping, western movies, gold mining, & socializing. Buddy had an instinct for survival, & an intellect for self-sufficiency. He proudly owned & operated his own farm, worked as an automotive technician, security guard, truck driver, & graduated from the World Wide College of Auctioneering.
Extremely honored to carry on his name, he is survived by his great grandchildren, Major Llewellyn Carter Vaughn & Wyatt Lee Kocken. By his children, Michele Vaughn, Rochele Braun, Kristin & Chad Winnekens, Clint & Kirstin Braun. By his siblings, Lulabelle Drath, Muriel & Jim Wilke, Charitee & Joe McKenna, & Charmaine Stewart. By his grandchildren, Cory & Genay Vaughn, Alisha Kocken, Coleton & Delayna Winnekens, & Chase Braun. In addition, to many cousins, in-laws, nieces, nephews, & friends that made a positive impact throughout Buddy’s life.
Llewellyn was preceded in death by his grandchildren Britney & Austin Braun, by his parents, Walter & Nora Braun, his brother Harold Braun, & his sister Virginia Patzer, brother-in-law Edward Patzer & Leon Drath.
