Jacqueline Ruth Kershek

July 13, 1931 – January 11, 2016

Born July 13, 1931, to Gustave and Beatrice (Renel) Gollhardt in Green Bay, WI. She along with her sister and mother moved to Oconto Falls as a young child. She graduated from Oconto Falls High School in 1949. She married Joseph Kershek, Jr. on October 14, 1950. They farmed the family farm for 44 years and then retired in 1994. Jackie enjoyed doing yard work, growing flowers, doing better than the contestants on Jeopardy, making Sundays special for the families and enjoying her grandchildren, and now her great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Joe; their three sons, Jerry (Barb) Kershek, John (Partner John Potter), and Jeff Kershek (friend Lila); One sister, Karen Lewins, and one sister-in-law Nancy Kershek; daughter-in-law, Leah Kershek, and God children, Dean Campbell and Melissa Mier; Grandchildren, Jerry (Laurie) Kershek, Jim (Anny) Kershek, Tyler (Kristin Hildebrand) Kershek, Ross (Liz Buss) Kershek, Kaitlyn and Kyle Kershek; and Great-Grandchildren Zoe and Gabe Kershek; many nieces and nephews and a special niece, Jolene (Gary) Zahn. She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-father, Orville Heimke; a sister, Shirley Taycher, and infant brother; also, her in-laws, Joseph and Blanche Kershek; sister-in-law, Avrille Konitzer; brothers-in-law, Alvin and Gaylord Kershek.
At Jackie’s request, a private family service was held. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery in Spruce, WI. Donations can be sent to Home Respite Care Inc., 855 S Main, Oconto Falls, WI 54154.

Weep not for me though I am gone into the gentle night
Grieve if you will but not for long upon my soul’s sweet flight
Remember not my fight for breath
Remember not the strife
Do not dwell upon my death
But celebrate my life.
