Gregory (Zimmie) Zimmermann, age 84, a Manitowoc resident passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday morning April 12, 2022 at his residence.

Greg was born on October 7, 1937, son of the late Henry and Rose (Jacobs) Zimmermann.  He graduated from Brillion High School.  Greg served in the United States Army.  Greg was employed as an auto mechanic at many different garages including Larson Chevrolet in Valders, where he also drove school bus for many years.  He went on to work at Krueger Lumber before retirement.  Greg enjoyed watching NASCAR races.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law: Jane and Gary Linzmeier, Manitowoc, Marie and Mark Tuma, Valders, nine grandchildren: Aaron Linzmeier and Michelle Christman, Valders, Stephen Linzmeier, Milwaukee, Robert (Kassie) Linzmeier, DePere, Sally Linzmeier, Chippewa Falls, Ashley (Tim) Henneman, Valders, Kyle Tuma and Kylee Griffin, Platteville, Kaden Tuma, Valders, Dakota Bierhals, Kellnersville, Madilynn Bierhals, Denmark, five great grandchildren, mother of his children: Pat and Jim Milligan, Valders.

Greg was also preceded in death by one daughter: Ellen Bierhals.
