Glen John Fischer, age 85 of Gillett, passed away on September 24, 2015 at Kindred Hearts in Shawano. He was born September 20, 1930 in Marshfield, Wisconsin to the late John and Mary (Krohn) Fischer. He married Veronica Lucille Faucher on August 5, 1950 in Marshfield, He moved to Milwaukee where he operated Glen Fischer Roofing Company for many years. He is a member of St. Johns Cathloic Church and Carpenters Union, He enjoyed hunting, shaking dice, spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He loved his dog Missy. He was preceded in death by 1 son Michael, 2 sisters Mary Jo and Arlene, 1 brother Larry, 1 brother-in-law Jack.
He is survived by his wife Veronica, 3 daughters Arla Fischer of Gillett, Kathy & Larry Stein of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, Patty & Dave Weglarz of Germantown, Wisconsin, 1 son Rodney & Jean Fischer of Milwaukee, His grandchildren Eugene, Michael, Kristine, Adam, Danny, Nicole, Jimmy, Lindsey, Katie; great grandchildren Kaylee, Anthony, Anabel, Brianna, Shayna, Claudia, Aaliyah, Millie
His brothers & sisters Shirley Fischer, Florence & Lawrence Hoffmann, Jim & Jackie Fischer, Marie & Bob Blanchard, Joyce & Ray Vander Zanden, Lucille & Arnold Mellenthin, Karen & Jeff Belk, Patsy & Jerry Pankratz, Bob & Mary Fischer.
Friends may call on Friday, October 2, 2015 from 10 A.M. until 11 A.M. at St. Johns Catholic Church Funeral Mass will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday at St. Johns Catholic Church Fr. Dean Dombroski and sister Marla Clercx officiating. Burial will be in Wanderers Rest Ceemetery.
