Georgia M. Tuell

February 10, 1920 – June 13, 2017

Georgia M. (Stubbs) Tuell, 97, formerly of the Town of Green Valley, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Atrium Post Acute Care of Oconto Falls where she had been a resident the last 5 years.

Georgia was born in Noblesville, Indiana on February 10, 1920, a daughter of the late Walter and Pearl (Lees) Stubbs. She was married to Hubert Tuell in Crystal Falls, MI on September 3, 1937 and together they raised eight children. In earlier years, Georgia attended Tabor United Methodist Church in Gillett. She was an avid gardener of both flowers and vegetables and also enjoyed all types of crafts. She was an accomplished cake decorator and over the years, she decorated many cakes for family and friends including wedding cakes for her children and grandchildren. Georgia loved her family deeply and will be sadly missed.

She is survived by her children: Allen (Janeva) Tuell of Quitman, TX, George (Rita) Tuell of Green Bay, Wilma (Wayne)Roskom of Cecil, Virginia “Jinx” (Leroy) Nevins of Benson, AZ, Oliver “Buck” (Holly) Tuell of Green Bay, Myra (the late Jessie) Soapes of Mountain Home, AR and Melody June (Charles) Grutza of Green Bay. Georgia also leaves a sister, Alice Weller of Mountain, 24 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Georgia was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Hubert, a son, Donald, her sister Pauline Lundeen and two infant grandchildren.

Friends and relatives may call on the family from 5 to 7 PM on Monday, June 19, 2017 at LEGACY FUNERAL CHAPELS (108 E. Main Street, Gillett). Visitation continues Tuesday, June 20, 2017 from 9:30 to 10:45 AM at RIVERVIEW ALLIANCE CHURCH (628 N. Main Street, Oconto Falls). A funeral service will be held at 11 AM with Reverend Kevin Kuhn officiating. Final rest will be in Wanderer’s Rest Cemetery in Gillett. A luncheon will follow at Tabor United Methodist Church.

The family sends special thanks to Atrium Post Acute Care of Oconto Falls, as well as to Unity Hospice for their kind and compassionate care of Georgia. For those wishing, memorials are appreciated to Children’s Hospital of Milwaukee.
