Ernest Oscar Buchholz, age 86 of Gillett, passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at his home. The son of the late Ernest and Dora (Knaack) Buchholz was born January 2, 1929 in the Town of Underhill. He attended Mosling Grade School. Ernest married Ruby Johnson on June 30, 1956 in Suring. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. Ernest worked for Gillett Cement for 10 years and later in the petroleum business for 30 years. He was a member of the American Legion for over 60 years.

He is survived by his wife Ruby, one son Larry, two daughters Cindy and Jean, four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. one sister Shirley (Lee) Zaddack, two brothers Leroy (Naomi) and Allen (Mary) Buchholz, two sister-in-laws Beatrice Buchholz and Joyce Bruni, two brother-in-laws Leonard and Harold Johnson.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.

Private Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Kuehl Funeral Home in Gillett.
