Dorothy Jane Luedeman-Lindner

Dorothy J. Luedeman-Lindner passed away on April 7, 2014. Dorothy was born June 5, 1928 in Fairchild, WI to the late Thaddeus and Anna Flick. She married Robert Luedeman on August 13, 1949. They lived in Gillett and spent their winters in Florida until Robert passed away April 4, 1998. While living in Florida Dorothy met and married Andrew Lindner October 26, 2001.

The couple lived in Florida until Andy preceded her in death on November 15, 2009. Dorothy continued to live in Florida until poor health forced her to return to Wisconsin, in 2010, where she resided at the Cottages in Shawano.

Dorothy worked in the automobile industry for 40 years until her retirement on December 14, 1990.

Dorothy was very active in bowling, shuffleboard, golfing, and line dancing. She also enjoyed Rosemauling, traveling, going to bingo, and playing cards with friends and family. Dorothy was a member of the women’s auxiliary for 50 years and a member of the St. John’s Catholic altar society.

Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Susan (Jack) Benzinger, Green Bay; Beth (Tim) Christensen, Gillett. Four grandchildren, Chad (Kelly) Benzinger; Ryan (Melissa) Benzinger; Cassandra Christensen; Logan Christensen. Five great-grandchildren, Adison, Aiden, Ashton, Belle, and Ian. Five stepchildren, Julie (Lewis) Klupacs, Florida; Susan (Mike) Wilson, Florida; Andrew (Peggy) Lindner, Pennsylvania; Norbert (Kathy) Lindner, Pennsylvania; Jim (Laura) Lindner, Pennsylvania. Two sisters, Louise Luisier, Oconto Falls; Margaret Reuter, California. Nieces and nephews, Diane (Mike) Evert; Marjorie Hockstad; Richard (Debbie) Luisier, and William Reuter.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; son Philip; brothers-in-law, Leo Luisier and George Reuter; a niece Carol Ann Reuter.

Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Saturday April 12, 2014, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Gillett. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:30 with Father Dean Dombroski officiating. Interment will be in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery. Kuehl Funeral Home will be assisting the family.
