Dennis W Schroeder, 70, of 214 E Main, Gillett, died on Sunday, November, 30 2014 at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee.

Dennis was born on November 4, 1944 in Shawano to the late Walter and Agnes (Rusch) Schroeder. He was a proud member of the US Army where he drove a deuce and a half truck and was the recipient of Sharp Shooting medals. Dennis was united in marriage to Gloria Hanstedt on July 10, 1971, in Shawano at St. John’s Lutheran Church. He enjoyed life outdoors and working in his yard, his spare time was filled with building model trains. Dennis was also fond of his family vacations in Wisconsin Dells. He worked for the City of Gillett and Water up until his retirement in 2007.

He is survived by two children, daughter Stephanie (Adam) VanHaren of Oconto Falls; son Bryan (Le Eisch) Schroeder of Shawano; grandchildren, Bailey, McKenzie, Addyson, Taylin and Wheeler and one sister Nathalie Alsteen, of Shawano.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law Clem Alsteen.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 10 at Kuehl Funeral Home in Gillett. Memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Kuehl Funeral Home in Gillett with Dr. W.H. Winkler officiating.
