Dorothy Schnell of Manitowoc was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend. She passed away suddenly but peacefully, after a full day of loved ones visiting her at the hospital.
Dorothy lived a full life. After graduating from Reedsville High School and Bellin College of Nursing, she went on to pursue her passion for helping others with a career in nursing. She worked in various areas of nursing for 37 years. In 1959, she married her husband, Bob, and they had two beautiful daughters, Faith and Robin. Dorothy and Bob were married for 52 years before Bob passed.
Dorothy was very proud of her extensive travel with her husband and friends. She visited 46 foreign countries, including those in Europe, Africa, and South America, as well as most of the attractions in the United States.
Dorothy enjoyed dancing and listening to old-time music, especially polka. She loved playing cards with her friends and most enjoyed visiting her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids.
Dorothy was proceeded in death by her parents and loving husband.
Dorothy is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Faith (Dave) Gruss and Robin (Wade) Hungerford; three grandchildren, Rachel (Jayme) Radonski, Dana Hungerford, and Troy Hungerford; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Darylene Lau; and sister-in-law, Marion Meyer.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 10:00 am until 11:45 am on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at St. Mark’s United Church of Christ (N9286 Dairyland Drive, Cleveland, WI 53015).
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at St. Mark’s United Church of Christ. Officiating at the service will be Rev. Dr. Patrick Schultz.
Burial will be at 10:00 am on Friday, November 25, 2022, at Friedens United Church of Christ Cemetery in Reedsville, WI.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the Aurora Medical Center and Hospice in Two Rivers, and Randy and Dennis, for their care and compassion shown towards Dorothy.

Virginia (Jinx) E. Nevins, 77, Green Bay, passed away on Saturday morning, November 19, 2022 at Unity Hospice Meng Residence, De Pere. She was born on May 2, 1945 in Laona, daughter of the late Hubert and Georgia (Stubbs) Tuell.
Jinx attended Gillett High School with the class of 1963. She was employed as a sugar boiler with Western Sugar Co-op for many years. On December 23, 1981 she married Allen Leroy Nevins. He preceded her in death on May 5, 2018. Jinx made her home in Benson, AZ for 15 years before returning to Wisconsin.
Jinx’s hobby for more than 20 years was doll making. She owned her own kiln and fired her own porcelain doll parts. Jinx learned to hand sew all of their clothes. She attended “doll class” every week in Arizona. Jinx was extremely involved in the San Pedro Resort Community Church where she lived in Arizona. She created newsletters on a weekly basis and helped with services each week. Jinx and Leroy were avid motorcycle lovers and traveled the entire US camping, Jeeping and ATVing. They were members of the Gold Wing Riders Association of America and the Colorado FCRV camping club for many years. The two of them always looked forward to their monthly outings and Spring Fling that was held annually in Brush CO. Every Monday they went with their 4-wheel drive group of friends “Boonie Crashing” in the desert. Each week a new destination was selected to explore. It was not uncommon to discover abandoned treasures. It also allowed them to participate in another hobby Jinx and Leroy enjoyed together, Geo-caching. Prior to moving to AZ, they had been members of United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a son and two daughters-in-law, Howard “Sonny” (Sheila) Crandall, Jr. and Cecelia Crandall; one daughter, Kathrine Crandall-Holtz and Life Partner, Dave LaMontagne; one stepdaughter, Cheryl (Michael) Denton; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Allen (Janeva) Tuell, George (Rita) Tuell, Wilma (Wayne) Roskom, Buck (Holly) Tuell, Myra Soapes, June (Charles) Grutza; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one son, Timothy Crandall; one stepson, Clint Nevins; one brother, Donald Tuell, and one brother-in-law, Jessie Soapes.
A visitation for Jinx will be held at Kuehl Funeral Home, 108 E Main Street, Gillett, on Saturday, November 26, 2022 from 9:00 AM until the time of services at 11:00 AM. Officiating at the memorial service will be Rev. Laura Reimer. Cremation has occurred and Jinx will be laid to rest at a later date. Jennifer M. Wozniak, 39, passed away Saturday afternoon, November 12, 2022 at St. Vincent Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was born in Green Bay on November 29, 1982, daughter of Kathleen (Budzis) and the late Willis Drake.
Jen attended Green Bay schools, graduating from West High School with the class of 2001. In 2011 she received her Associates Degree in Business Management from Rasmussen University. On July 29, 2006 Jen married Paul Wozniak in Appleton. Jen was a very outgoing, fun-loving person. She was always putting others first and was willing to help anybody in need. She enjoyed writing poetry. Jen loved playing golf and watching the Packers and Bucks. Jen and Paul enjoyed going on road trips together. Some of their favorite places were Clearwater Beach, Florida, Door County and Upper Michigan. But, most of all Jen was passionate about animal rights.
Survivors include her loving husband, Paul Wozniak; her mother, Kathleen Drake; one sister, Elizabeth Drake; a sister-in-law, Brenda (Joe) Conard; and her dog, Lily; many uncles (Uncle Bubs!), cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
She was preceded in death by her father, Willis Drake; and her maternal grandparents, Michael and Bernice Budzis.

Byrnece Margaret Riesterer, 97, of St. Nazianz, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2022 at Rivers Bend Health Services, Manitowoc.
Byrnece was born on April 16, 1925 on the family homestead in rural Manitowoc to Edward and Margaret (Kaufman) Eisner. She enjoyed growing up on the family farm and told many stories about it. She attended school in Manitowoc. At the age of 16, she had her first job as a housekeeper for a family in Manitowoc. She was proud of the work she did at Aluminum Goods Mfg. Co. during WWII making ammo boxes. She held part time jobs occasionally while raising her family including many years at Meyer’s Supper Club as a cook. Her last job was at Pine River Pre-Pack in the shipping dept. After retirement, she volunteered at Salvatorian Mission in New Holstein and at the Nutrition Site/Meals on Wheels in St. Nazianz. In her 97 years, she saw many changes in the world including new inventions, medical advances, hairstyles, clothing styles, and life changes. She had many good friends over her lifetime.
She would readily tell you her biggest accomplishment and the best times of her life were raising her kids and watching them grow. Luckily that followed through to her grandkids, great-grandkids, and great-great-grandkids. We’re all better to have had her in our lives.
Mom loved playing cards, cooking, baking, canning, crocheting, quilting, and gardening, especially flowers.
Byrnece is survived by her pride and joy, her children, Jim and Fay Riesterer of Appleton, Chuck Riesterer of St. Nazianz, Gary Riesterer of St. Nazianz, Annette and Bill Lehman of Whitelaw, and Nancy and Doug Sy of Valders.
Also surviving are grandchildren and their spouses, Jeff Riesterer, Greg and Rebecca Riesterer, Allen and Nicole Riesterer, Pam Riesterer, Shelly Liesch, Renee and Tom Keltesch, Shannon Buchner and fiancé Craig Rozmarynowski, Joy and Scott Lee, Jana and Justin Blackchief, Kristi and Tom Hebert, Kim and Mike Houseye, Lisa Lehman, Casy Sy and fiancé Shawn Olson, Brandon and Tanya Sy.
Also great-children and their spouses, Nicholas, Benjamin Riesterer; Ethan, Katelyn, Colton, Jackson Riesterer; Justin and Taylor Mertzig, Samantha and Kyle Reynolds; Emily and Joseph Gorgas; Clayton and Marissa Keltesch, Megan Keltesch and friend Brandon; Jacob Buchner and friend Megan, Madalynn Buchner and friend Michael; Samantha Lee; Nathan, Mia, Max Hebert; Mya, Calla Houseye; Gwendolyn, Keegan Olson; Wyatt Sy. Great-great-grandchildren include Ryker Mertzig, Delilah Moore, Burton Reynolds.
Preceding her in death were her daughter, Janice, daughters in-law Bonita and Debbie, grandsons Jesse and Jason Riesterer, and Randall Lehman.
Her brothers and sister in-law Lloyd and Leona Eisner, Paul and Alice Eisner, Vernon and Marcy Eisner, and sister and brother in-law Jeanette and Norbert Herrmann, and brother in-law and sister in-law Jerome and MaryAnn Riesterer. Her mother and father in-law Elizabeth and Peter Riesterer, along with other relatives and friends.
Mom lived a long, full, joyful life, and we miss her terribly. Her wish was for us all to live happy lives.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at St. Gregory Catholic Church, St. Nazianz.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at St. Gregory Catholic Church, St. Nazianz. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will the Rev. William Brunner with burial to follow at St. Gregory Catholic Cemetery, St. Nazianz.
Her family would like to thank the Valders Ambulance, St. Nazianz First Responders, Holy Family ER staff, 5th floor nursing staff, Rivers Bend, and especially ProMedica Hospice Care for their help in her last days. And a big hug goes out to Mary Olig for her caring, thoughtful ways.

Well to make a long story short….
Melvin John Satori, 86, a resident of Manitowoc, died peacefully, surrounded by his family on September 29, 2022 at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay.
Melvin was born on Aug. 22, 1936 in Manitowoc, WI, son of the late John and Gertrude Meyer Satori. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1954.
On January 6, 1961, Melvin married Helen Satori in Attalla, Alabama. Together, they had three children – Ellen, Steven and Gwen.
Mel was an avid outdoorsman and could always be found either in his shed tinkering with whatever needed to be fixed next, or chopping wood out back behind his barn. He loved taking trips out to his second home in North Dakota where he enjoyed hunting, fishing and helping his friends out with their welding projects.
Mel was proud of his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. His eyes always glistened when he would tell them one of his “stories” and loved to tease them. Papa was known for his many voices he created for his stories as well as his endless “Mel-isms”. One of the grandkids’ favorite summer traditions with Papa was when he would take them all berry picking.
Mel was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He was drafted in 1959 at the age of 23 and served 6 years in the Chemical Corp. He was recognized by the army for his astounding service and was honored with Expert Rifle, Sharpshooter (Carbine), Driver’s Badge, and the Good Conduct Medal. He was seen as a natural leader and was quickly promoted to being a Chemical Corp Instructor and was a Corporal. If you ever ran into Mel, you likely saw him wearing one of his many US Army Veteran caps along with his suspenders.
Following Mel’s military service, he began working as an Iron Worker for Iron Worker’s Local 8 for 37 years where he retired at the age of 64. He worked on countless projects but most notably – Lambeau Field, Point Beach and Kewaunee Nuclear Plants as well as all of the foundries and paper mills in the upper Fox Valley. His grandkids always liked going to visit his projects and seeing him wave to them from a beam of iron high up in the sky. Not only working full time as an Iron Worker, he also farmed and raised Herefords.
Survivors include Melvin’s three children: Ellen (Alan) Reinertson, Steven (Wanda) Satori, Gwen (Brad) Meidl, his nine grandchildren: Nathan (Amber) Reinertson, Megan (Ari Spagat) Reinertson, Angelina (Brad) Gaedke, Alli (Matt) Seiler, Matthew Meidl, Amber (Travis) Miller, Michaela (Joe) Liermann, Allison Satori and special friend Justin, Nichole Satori and special friend Lucas, his eight great grandchildren: Isabella, Andrew, Colton, Charlotte, Peyton, Jonathan, Sophia, Maddox.
Melvin was preceded in death by his wife Helen, one infant daughter, three siblings, Janice Lensmeyer, Marlene Gill and Jerald Satori; his parents John and Gertrude Satori; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Edna Lambert.
The family will greet relatives and friends for a memorial visitation from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Friday October 7, 2022 at The Lendman Funeral Home, Manitowoc. A private family service will be held at a later date.

On Saturday, August 27, 2022, Donald Dean Butler passed away at the age of 95. Donald was born January 16, 1927, in Effingham, Illinois, to Ellis and Ruth (Mascher) Butler. He graduated from Paducah Tilghman High School in Paducah, Kentucky, in 1945. Also in 1945, after his 18th birthday, he was drafted into the United States Army to serve during World War II. At the end of his service, he returned to Kentucky and married his high school sweetheart, Martha Sue Owings on June 15, 1947. They raised their son, William Steven Butler, together and celebrated 63 years of devoted marriage before Sue was called home to our Lord.
A man of deep religious belief, Donald was ordained a Deacon in 1973 at First Baptist Church in Park Forest South, Illinois. Donald also proudly worked 38 years for the Illinois Central Railroad, serving as a machinist and then a foreman in several shops throughout the Chicagoland Area. In his retirement, Donald enjoyed assisting his beloved “Miss Sue” at craft fairs throughout the Midwest Covered Bridge Festivals and the Appalachian Mountains, and doting on his grandchildren, Catherine, Elizabeth, and Mark. Later in life, after being widowed, Donald relocated to Manitowoc, Wisconsin, with his son and daughter-in-law, to live closer to his granddaughters, grandson-in-law, and two of his great-grandchildren.
Donald was an old-fashioned gentleman who believed in family and the value of hard work. He was devoted to his “Miss Sue”, whom he loved to his dying day. He had a playful side to match his loving side and a deep belly-laugh that made you want to laugh with him.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Ellis and Ruth (Mascher) Butler, his brother, James Butler, several cousins, his wife, Martha Sue (Owings) Butler, and a great-granddaughter, Alexandra Nicole Woelm. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, W. Steven and Martha (Donlon) Butler; his granddaughters Elizabeth M. Butler and Catherine A.F. (Butler) Woelm; his grandson, Mark C. Butler; his grandson-in-law Geofrey A. Woelm; and his great-grandchildren: James D. Woelm, Sean B. Butler, Meagan C. Woelm, Logan V.D. Butler, Inara R. Butler, and Aeris R. Butler.
Donald will be laid to rest at a graveside service on Monday, September 26, 2022, at 1:00 pm, at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, located at 1545 Orchard Dr., Lenoir, NC 28645. The service will be performed by Rev. Kay Smith, pastor of Zion United Church of Christ, in Lenoir, North Carolina.
