Teresa K. Eaker

Teresa K. Eaker

Teresa Kim Eaker (Frushour) passed away suddenly on June 30th, 2018. Teresa was born November 11, 1960 in Detroit MI to Gloria and Rouland Frushour.

Teresa’s love and compassion for life was demonstrated through her family and transferred to all those around her. There were no lengths she would not go to comfort, care, and help those in need, whether they were in her direct orbit or those she never met. She has touched so many throughout her short life as a loving wife, a mother to her wonderful children, a sister, an Aunt, and a friend. All those she babysat as well as the friends of her children were treated and card for as if they were her own; all knowing her love and tenderness, but when needed, a scolding, even into their adult lives.  If only there were more like this cherished soul in this world.

She is survived by her Husband Daniel, Son Scott and his wife Amber, Daughter Danielle, Aunt Kay, Sister Toni Parrin, Brothers Tom and David Frushour, Sister In-laws Cathy Frushour and Guyla Boswell, as well as many Nieces and Nephews.

Teresa’s desire was for us not to grieve her passing as she is no longer suffering, but to celebrate her life together. The family would like to remember the love she showed, the heart she shared with all those around her, and her laugh that would have everyone around her laughing. To honor Teresa’s life and memory please give as she gave, love as she loved, laugh as she laughed, be a little sassy as she did. Show compassion for humans and animals, love for God, family and country, and be strong against that which is wrong.

Funeral expenses: Lock in today to avoid emotional overspending

Funerals vary in style, from the simple to the elaborate. Prices vary, also, depending on the services and goods selected when making funeral arrangements.

“Paying for a funeral is a real expense, and hopefully you make some provision for it,” said the funeral director. While it’s better to sit down with a funeral director in person and review your options, price quotes are also available over the phone. Legacy’s personalized approach allows families to buy only what items and services they want.

Many families cash out their life insurance policy to cover funeral expenses, but not everyone has the wherewithal to pay for a funeral.

We serve everyone with the same amount of dignity. We’ll help determine what they can afford and give them the closure they need. We would never deny someone the right to say goodbye to a loved one, based on what they can spend, Legacy Funeral Chapels provides families with a written general price list so they know the costs of different products and services.

By planning in advance, individuals can make their own choices and arrange for payment in a relaxed setting. They can even lock in today’s prices. Advance planning curtails the emotional overspending of well-meaning but frazzled family members who are planning a funeral in a hurry. Common funeral expenses include:

  • Services of a funeral director and staff
  • Transporting and sheltering the remains
  • Embalming and/or cremation
  • Casket or urn, burial vault
  • Use of a funeral home, church, or alternate venue
  • Cemetery plot, crypt, or niche
  • Cemetery marker or monument

The single most expensive item for a traditional funeral typically is a casket, and Legacy Funeral Chapels has several styles in a range of prices. Caskets, plus samples of urns and burial vaults, are available for viewing at the funeral home. Some individuals prefer to calculate their funeral expenses and pay in advance.

Funding a funeral is a good idea if you are in the position to do so. It’s a conversation we have. But if money isn’t there, at least we know what you want.
