Lois J. Elliott

Lois J. Elliott, age 89, a lifelong Manitowoc resident, passed away early Monday morning, September 27, 2021 at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.

She was born on April 30, 1932 daughter of the late Lester and Clara Rothmund.  Lois attended Manitowoc schools and graduated from Manitowoc Lincoln High School with the class of 1949.  She married Bob Elliott on November 18, 1950.  He preceded her in death in September of 1983.  In 1960 Bob and Lois purchased Louie’s Sporting Goods and she continued her involvement until January 2021.

Survivors include her children: Linda (Jay) Schuette, Three Lakes, WI, Lori (Greg) Repinski, Lakewood, WI, Bruce (Bea) Elliott, Manitowoc, Bryon Elliott, Jackson, WY, Kent (Melanie) Elliott, Jackson, WY; eight grandchildren: Sarah and John Schuette, Chad (April) Repinski, Lisa (Tim) Linz, Bradley and Alyssa Elliott, Kyle (Morgan) Elliott, Melissa Elliott; four great grandchildren: Rose, Austin, Ward, and Leighton; two sisters; Joan Keehan, Lila Free; one sister-in-law; Kathy Rothmund, and her furry friend, Louie.  Also surviving are nieces, nephews, cousins, and special niece Nancy Becker.

Lois was also preceded in death by one brother, Roger Rothmund, three brothers-in-law: Larry Keehan, Elmer Free, Norbert Brey.

Per Lois’s wishes, private family services will be held.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caregivers at Angelus Senior Living and Aurora Medical Center for their care and compassion shown towards Lois and her family.

Lendman Funeral Home & Gathering Center, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

  1. Dear family, you all lost a beautiful, wonderful person as your mother. She was a great friend and wonderful neighbor. I miss her!

  3. I am sorry for the loss of your mom. I waited on her over many years at the Pig and always enjoyed chatting with her.
