Bryon Temple

Bryon Temple

Bryon James Temple, 57, passed away peacefully at Meadowbrook at Oconto Falls on September 27, 2020.

Bryon was born to Alfred R. (Bucky) and Judith (Gallagher) Temple on March 1, 1963 in Shawano, WI. Bryon graduated from Gillett High School in 1981. Bryon excelled in Industrial Arts/Building Trades in high school and played football and was a wrestler. Bryon had a job at a very young age as a paper boy in Pulcifer. He worked at the Gillett Canning factory in the summers and after high school he went on to work at Warvels in Gillett and then Carver Boat in Pulaski as a cabinet builder. He then followed his dream of custom home building and worked at Hougaard Construction, O.P Properties of Green Bay and others and finally his own custom home building business of Temple Homes. Bryon was a member of the Carpenters Union. He was a master at his craft, helped build many beautiful homes, and continued to build something, even up until a couple months before his death.

Bryon was affectionately known as “Tyrone” by his friends and family. Bryon was always tinkering or building something. He loved mini bikes, go-karts, old classic trucks and cars, especially the ’66 Caprice Classic and his Big Orange Truck. He participated in smashing up old cars in derbys and enjoyed deer and elk hunting, watching Nascar and the Packers. Bryon was a Harley owner and enjoyed riding until he couldn’t any longer due to chronic pain from a broken back & neck sustained from a car accident many years earlier in his 20’s. Bryon loved country music, a good card game, horseshoes, dartball, singing karaoke, dancing, swimming, diving off cliffs and especially telling jokes. He had a reckless side and seemed fearless at times. Deep down, Bryon loved everyone and those who knew him, loved him right back. Even when his quick wit and smart mouth got him in trouble, he always meant well and would help anyone who needed it. His most famous words were; “It’s all good.”

Bryon’s unfortunate early death was preceded with some years of ill health. Please remember him as the fun-loving, smiley, smart-mouthed goofball we all knew and loved. He will be missed immensely.

Bryon is survived by his oldest sister, Lisa and husband Randy LaBine of Oconto, younger brother Bret and wife Julie Temple of Seymour, youngest sister, April Temple of Pulcifer, his 2 sons, Joshua and wife Brooke Temple of Middleton, Nicholas Temple and grandson Nathanial James Temple of Shawano, nieces and nephews; Melissa LaMountain (his goddaughter) and husband Dennis and their children, Audrey & Lucas, Michelle Berk and husband Skyler, Ray Christensen and wife Caty and their son Kennedy, Molly LaBine and daughter Emma, Brittany Temple and fiance Sam, and Bennett Temple. Many Aunts and Uncles and very close cousins. And especially his 2 life long best friends, Hubie and Todd.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother: Bucky and Judie Temple, grandparents and other special family members.

Due to the current pandemic issues of the Coronavirus, there will not be a memorial service until a date to be determined in last spring or early summer of 2021. We want to celebrate his life with the same passion he lived life when everyone is able to safely attend to enjoy the day.

Our family would like to thank the staff of Meadowbrook at Oconto Falls for their loving care of Bryon during his stay. He made them chuckle the short time he was there. We are grateful to the staff of Heartland Hospice for their care of our brother Bryon.

Kuehl Funeral Home, Gillett is honored to assist the family.
