Shirley Ann (Bader) Konop, age 73, Gillett, passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Atrium Post Acute Care of Shawano at Maple Lane following a period of declining health.
Shirley was born in Coleman, WI on January 13, 1944, a daughter of the late Elmer and Angeline (Salewski) Bader. She attended local schools and was a graduate of Coleman High School. Shirley married Roger A. Konop on May 11, 1963 and together they raised four children. She worked for many years at Architectural Fiberglass, later Krueger International until her retirement in 2009. Shirley was an active member at St. John’s Catholic Church in Gillett and enjoyed gardening and reading. She will be sadly missed.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Roger, her children: Lisa (Bob) Johnson of Greenleaf, Jeff (Jackie) Konop of Woodbury, MN, Deb (Jeff) Edler of Maribel and Jodi (Josh) Tousey of Green Valley, WI. She also leaves her grandchildren: Alex (Courtney) Konop, Jared (Heather Collin) Edler, Jordan Johnson, Meghan Konop, Dylan and Taylor Tousey; her siblings Janice (the late Roy) Jashinsky, Mary Jane (Mark) Kosmal, Gary Bader, Nancy (Jack) Sjoberg, Jim (Jill) Bader and Diane (Chopper Lambert) Bader. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Donna Bader.
Memorial Visitation will be on Saturday, February 11, 2017 from 9 to 10:45 AM at ST. JOHN THE EVANGELIST CATHOLIC CHURCH (127 Garden Avenue, Gillett, WI 54124). A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 AM with the Reverend David J. Funk, OFM CAP officiating. Burial will be in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Atrium Post Acute Care of Shawano at Maple Lane as well as the staff of Southern Care Hospice for their kind and compassionate care of Shirley. For those wishing, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of Wisconsin.

Andra Marie “Andy” Garrity, 57, died February 1, 2017 at her home in Gillett, Wisconsin.
She was born April 21, 1959, in Goldsboro, North Carolina. Andra and her sons Dan and Daryl moved to Gillet in 1990. She and her husband Patrick were married in 1998 while on vacation in the Bahamas. She loved her family, knitting and caring for her birds. She and Patrick spent as much time as they could fishing and traveling. She will be greatly missed by those she loved and those who loved her.
Mrs Garrity is survived by her husband Patrick Garrity; her sons Daniel (Tamara) Upton and Daryl Upton; Patrick’s children Chris Garrity, Colleen Garrity, Sean (Shae) Garrity; her sisters, Mondra McDonald and Teresa Pyatte (Estes Lee); 7 grandchildren; and 6 nieces and nephews.
Services were held at Legacy Funeral Chapels (formerly Kuehl Funeral Home) on Saturday, February 4, 2017.
