Dolores Caroline Eschner, age 95, went to be with her Savior on March 22, 2016, at Harvest Home in Howards Grove, Wisconsin.

Dolores was born to Cornelius and Mayme Eastman on January 11, 1921 in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. She attended school in Clinton, Iowa and married Harlan Eschner on August 30, 1947.

Dolores often expressed her love for others through her baking and cooking of great meals. She enjoyed laughter, conversation and playing games. One of her favorite activities was playing hymns and the “Naughty Waltz” on the piano. She treasured visits and holidays with family and friends. Dolores was an active member of Gillett Baptist Church for many years.

Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Cornelius (Bud), her husband Harlan, her loving daughter Kathleen Bea Genke and other relatives. Dolores is survived by her sister Beatrice (Jack) Reed; son-in-law Larry Genke; grandchildren Terri (Carl) Keppler, Sherri (Scott) Hilbelink, Jacqueline (Karl) Freitag, Douglas (Kim) Genke, Troy (Sandra) Genke; great-grandchildren Rachel (Brett) Ashworth, Joshua Hilbelink, Alicia (Dean) Sixel, Kayla (fiancé Matt) Keppler, Jeremy Genke, Eric (Kayla) Freitag, Jessica Genke, Rebekah (Jonathan) Pope, Katie (Stephen) Maris, Trenton (Kristen) Genke, Alexis Genke, Brittany Genke, Grant Genke, Victori Genke; adopted great-grandchild Dayna Hilbelink; great-great-grandchildren Hayley Ashworth, Melanie Ashworth, Kaitlin Pope, Kylie Sixel, Jackson Sixel, Jack Pope, Cecilia Pope, Harper Freitag and many more to come.

The family burial will be at the Wanderer’s Rest Cemetery in Gillett on Saturday, March 26 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be at Gillett Baptist Church at 2:30 followed by a memorial service at 3:00.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial is established for Focus on the Family.

Lyman H. Sell

Lyman H. Sell

November 27, 1934 – March 17, 2016

Lyman H. Sell, Green Valley, age 81, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at the Atrium at Oconto Falls, formerly Sharpe Care.

Lyman was born in Oconto Falls, on November 27, 1934, a son of the late Albert and Ethel W. (Nelson) Sell. He attended local schools, and was a lifelong resident of the area. Lyman worked as a machine operator retiring several years ago. A devoted son, Lyman visited his mother daily for 21 years while she was in a nursing home. He would also have lunch daily in Gillett visiting with locals and sharing jokes. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and lived many years of his life on the family homestead. In earlier years, they kept some animals and livestock. Lyman was particularly fond of John Deere tractors. He will be sadly missed.

Lyman leaves his sisters Edna Mae Dobner of St. Louis and Judy Belke of New Holstein. He also leaves his in-laws: Robert McCabe of Colorado and Judy Sell of Algoma. Lyman is further survived by many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Clinton Sell and Al “JR” Sell, his sister Donna McCabe and brothers-in-law Leo Dobner and Richard Belke.

Friends and relatives may call on the family on Monday, March 21, 2016 from 9 to 10:45 AM at BETHEL LUTHERAN CHURCH (N6955 County Road BB, Oconto Falls, WI 54154). A funeral service will follow at 11 AM with the Reverend Bill Gruenstern officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Genadi Maltinksi as well as the staff of the Atrium at Oconto Falls for their compassionate care.
