Ethel C. Linzmeyer, 97, of Gillett, died January 31, 2015. She was born May 13, 1917 to the late Otto and Emma (nee Trettin) Wetzel in Gillett.

Ethel was raised in Gillett where she attended Gillett Grade School and graduated from Gillett High School in 1934 as Salutatorian. She also took classes at the Green Bay Vocational School. Ethel was united in marriage to Richard Linzmeyer on June 14, 1941 in Gillett. He preceded her in death in December of 1978. She worked at the former Norwest Bank for 54 years, retiring in 1990. Ethel was a member of the Wisconsin Bankers Association 50 year club. She had been very active in her community and church. Ethel was a Gillett School Board Member from 1959 to 1972, a member of AARP, and a member of St. John’s Lutheran Congregation in Gillett all of her life. She was a Sunday School Teacher, active in Luther League and WELCA. Ethel was a member of the Women’s Nursing Home Visitation Group which presented religious and patriotic monthly programs at the Gillett, Suring and Oconto Falls Nursing Homes. She enjoyed traveling, being with and helping her family, and visiting homebound people and nursing home residents.

Ethel is survived by her children, Delores(Kenneth) Dinse of Green Bay, Armand (Nancy) Linzmeyer of Gillett and Florida; grandchildren, Timm, Denise(Tom), Jason(Theresa), Stacie (Kevin), Paul (Stacey) ; 10 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; grandson, Todd Dinse; brothers, Delbert and Arthur Wetzel.

Friends may call from 9 A.M. to 11 A.M. on February 3 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Gillett. Funeral Service will take place at 11 A.M. with Pastor Doreen Jeffers officiating. Internment will take place following the Funeral Service in Wanderers Rest Cemetery.

Leon J. Drath

September 07, 1933 – January 28, 2015

Leon J. Drath, of Gillett, 81, who loved Jesus, went to be with our Lord on January 28, 2015, surrounded by his family. He was born September 7, 1933, to the late Adolph and Leona (nee:Patzer) Drath in Milwaukee.

He proudly served in the US Army receiving a medal of Good Conduct upon his return from Germany. Leon and Lulabelle (nee:Braun) were united in marriage on February 10, 1962, in Gillett. Leon worked at Briggs & Stratton, in Wauwatosa, as a tool and die maker. He was a member of Hillside Assembly of God Church in Gillett. Leon loved helping and spending time with his family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and teaching Sunday school.

Leon is survived by his loving wife, Lulabelle Drath; his daughters, Karla (Terry) Price of Sussex, Judy (Chuck) Truax of Bonduel; grandchildren, David, Kari(Paul), Daniel, Kristina (Shay), Melissa (Drew), Jessica, Nathan, CJ (Jilane) , Alex; great-grandchildren, Jaxson, Noah, Kinslee, Zeeten, Naj; sister, Dolores (Clay) Juno of Brookfield; aunts, Edna Miller of Coleman, Helen Drath of Oconto Falls; along with special brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Friends may call from 10:30 A.M. to 1 P.M. February 2, 2015 at Hillside Assembly of God Church in Gillett. Funeral service will take place at 1 P.M. with Pastor Paul Carlson officiating. Burial will take place following the funeral service at Wanderers Rest Cemetery in Gillett with Military Honors provided by Gillett American Legion.

Jack Arthur Nauke

January 26, 1951 – January 19, 2015

Jack A. Nauke of Suring, 63, died January 19, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on January 26, 1951 to the late Arthur Nauke and Mary (nee: Vyskocil) Nauke in Oconto Falls.

Jack proudly served his country in the Army during the Vietnam era spending much of his military career in Berlin, Germany. After graduating from Ferris State University he began a career in the heavy equipment industry working as a diesel mechanic for CAT companies in Green Bay, Wisconsin and Grayslake, Illinois. While in Illinois, he married the love of his life Margaret Powers on July 3, 1993 in Woodstock, Illinois. Jack decided to return back to his family farm with his family and expanded his career working for both Case IH and John Deere implement dealers as service technician. Jacks passion was his unique ability to diagnosis and repair equipment from earth movers to farm tractors. Jack was proud of his ability to persevere and solve problems with machinery. Jack felt obligated to be a good steward of the family farm and enjoyed raising his beef cows as well as growing grain and hay. He has passed his love for the outdoors to his children who enjoyed hunting and fishing with their dad. Jack was so proud of his children and was happy to have shared his love for nature and appreciation of music to them.

Jack is survived by his loving wife; Margaret Nauke, children; Thomas and Sarah Nauke, sisters; Carol Karch of Stewart, FL and Mary (John) Woods of Suring, many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and infant sister Beverly Nauke

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. January 24, 2015 at St. Michael’s Church in Suring. A Memorial Service will take place at 11 a.m. with Reverend Dean Dombroski and Sister Marla Clercx officiating. An inurnment will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established for Thomas and Sarah.

Karen J Reinhold

Karen J Reinhold

October 27, 1978 – January 11, 2015

Karen J. Reinhold was unexpectedly called home to be with her Lord on January 11, 2015. She was a graduate of Coleman High School. Karen enjoyed life and being with her family and friends and helping others whenever she could. She was deeply involved in her daughter’s life as Jazmine was her pride and joy. When not doing things with her daughter, she enjoyed making crafts and jewelry, baking, fishing, and drawing.

She is survived by her daughter; Jazmine Peters, mother; Jeanette Reinhold, siblings; Regnald (Susan) Reinhold, Rachel (David) Duhon, Stephanie (Daniel) McDermid, Karos (Rachel) Reinhold, many nieces, nephews and other family members.

Karen was preceded in death by an infant sister Karen Reinhold and her grandparents

Friends may call from 9am-11am at Gillett Baptist Church, 10780 Town Hall Road, on Saturday January 17, 2015. Funeral service will be held at 11am with Pastor Regnald Reinhold officiating. Private burial will take place following the funeral service.

A memorial fund is being established for Karen’s daughter, Jazmine. Contributions can be made to the family of Karen Reinhold for the memorial fund.

Mary D Olsen

July 06, 1945 – January 10, 2015

Mary Dolores (Westenberger) Olsen, 69, died Saturday January 10, 2015. She was born July 6, 1945, in Shawano to the late James and Lorraine (Penfield) Westenberger. Mary graduated from Gillett High School in 1963. She married John Olsen on October 25, 1963 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Gillett. Mary worked on the family dairy farm and served as a Gillett EMT for several years. She was an avid flower gardener, played organ for Immanuel Lutheran Church, created stained glass, collected and restored antiques. Mary was a member of the Ladies Aide and also of the Gillett Jaycees.

Mary is survived by her husband: John; children: Lori (Rick) Martineau of Stevens Point; David Olsen of Gillett; Lisa (Bruce) Hanneman of Gillett; Richard (Kelly Weber) Olsen of Appleton; Kristen(Ahren) Telford of Suring; 6 grandchildren; sister: Janet (Donald) Moser of Gillett, sisters-in-law: Barbara (Fred) Pahl of Appleton, Karmen Olsen of Whitefish Bay, Beverly (Gene) Colangelo of Mustang, Oklahoma, brother-in-law: Guy Krueger of Mesa, Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, James John Olsen, sister-in-law, Joanie Krueger.

Visitation will be held at Kuehl Funeral Home, 108 E Main Street, on Thursday January 15, 2015 from 2:00pm – 6:00pm followed by a funeral service, at 6:00pm, with Reverend Michael Paholke officiating. Cremation will take place with an inurnment at a later date.
