Dolores Ruby Larsen

July 18, 1924 – May 27, 2014

Dolores Ruby Larsen, 89, Oconto Falls entered into eternal rest Tuesday May 27, 2014. Dolores was born on July 18, 1924 in Oconto Falls to the late Oliver and Louise (Pipgrass) Framness. She graduated from Gillett High School and the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh with a degree in upper elementary education. Dolores taught in rural schools the last nineteen years in the Pulaski school system. On May 28, 1945 she married Harold Buchholz in Las Vegas, NV. Harold preceded her in death in 1971. On Dec. 4, 1976, Dolores married Delbert Larsen. Delbert preceded her in death in 1999. Dolores was a lifetime member of Bethel Lutheran Church, Oconto Falls and was very active in church functions and activities. She had many hobbies throughout life such as traveling, gardening, crafts, and most importantly spending time with her family.

Dolores is survived by four daughters; Barbara (Robert) Wolf, Oconto Falls, WI. Sandra (Ed) Bush, Greenville, WI. Carolyn Mosal, Pueblo, CO. and Cynthia (Terry) Wallace, Berlin, WI; Two sisters; Gloria Zenk, Pulcifer, WI. And Opal Cartier, Green Bay, WI; Four step-children; Sharon (John) James, WA. Gary (Betty) Larsen, Stoughter WI. Randy Larsen, Denmark, WI, and Lana (Tim) McCarthy, Sun Prairie, WI. She is further survived by nine grandchildren; Four step grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Preceding Dolores in death are two brothers; Vernon and Elwood Framness; and a sister; Beverly Natzke.

Friends and family may call Saturday May 31, 2014 at Bethel Lutheran Church, N6955 County Road Bb, Oconto Falls, WI 54154 from 9-11 A.M. Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. with Pastor Bill Gruenstern officiating. Burial will take place at Bethel Lutheran Cemetery following the funeral service with a luncheon to follow. Kuehl Funeral Home (920)855-2144 will be assisting the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Lutheran Church.

Marjorie A Melchior

Marjorie A Melchior

November 10, 1916 – May 18, 2014

Marjorie Alice (Ollmann) Melchior entered into rest May 18, 2014. Marjorie was born in Bonduel on November 10, 1916 to the late Elmer and Hulda (Mayer) Ollman. When she was six years old her father bought a tavern in Gillett. She lived at home until she turned nineteen. Marjorie married Michael Melchior on May 29, 1937. Mike went on to join the U.S. Navy shortly after. While Mike was away she moved in with Kathlene Quade and worked in the Quade’s Ben Franklin Store. A year after Mike returned home, the two of them purchased a dry cleaning business in Gillett. On November 21, 1974 Michael preceded Marjorie in death and she continued to run the business alone for two more years until the business closed. She then went on to work at the former Baldwin’s Plywood until she retired, but continued a tailoring service. Pudge excelled in crocheting fine handiwork which she graciously shared with friends and family. Marjorie was an active member at St. John’s Catholic Church most of her life where she served on the Altar Society. She was also a member of the Gillett VFW Auxiliary.

Marjorie is survived by many nieces and nephews, her sister-in-law Dorothy Melchior, and many other relatives and close friends. Preceding her in death were her parents Elmer and Hulda Ollmann, and her brothers Lloyd and Vernon Ollmann.

Friends and family may call on Friday, May 23, 2014 at St. John’s Catholic Church, Gillett from 10 A.M. until 11 A.M. A Funeral mass will be held at 11 A.M. with Father Dean Dombroski officiating. Internment will take place following the mass in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery.
