Ann Ida Dobratz, age 93 was called to Heaven on Tuesday May 29, 2012. The former Ann Ida Krueger daughter of the late Julius and Adelaide Krueger was born December 6, 1918 in Town of green Valley, She married Sam E. Dobratz on August 30, 1941. He preceded her in death on July 30, 1988, She enjoyed here life on the farm as well a her time doing puzzles. She was a member of Faith United Ev. Lutheran Church and a lifetime member of the ladies aide of the church. She was preceded in death by her son Jerry and 1 sister and four brothers.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Barbara and Jim Smith of Appleton, 2 granddaughters Andrea Smith and Laurie(Jordan) Gross. 1 brother Al Krueger of King, Wisconsin.
Friends may call from 9 until 11 A.M. on Saturday at Faith United Ev. Lutheran Church (Hwy 22 West of Gillett) Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday at Faith United Ev.Lutheran Church. Rev. John Laatsch officiating, Burial will be in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Pulicifer.

Eugene Theodore Miller, 64, Gillett, died Monday evening May 21st, 2012 at Aurora Baycare surrounded by his wife and children. Gene was born April 16th, 1948 in the town of Gillett and was the fifth child to the late Raymond and Elise (Jaeger) Miller. On April 20th, 1968, he married Diane Wallgren. After graduating from Gillett High School, Gene became a member of the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War. For over 46 years, he worked for various different trucking companies including: Gillett Milling, Younkers, Cruisers Yachts, Packerland Packing, Klemm Tank Lines and most recently Sorenson Feed & Grain. For many years Gene & Diane had their own trucking business. Gene was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, now Faith United of Gillett and held many positions such as President, Head Usher, and Elder. He enjoyed serving the congregation and Pastor Laatsch. In Gene’s spare time he enjoyed going to his grandchildren’s sporting events, camping, fishing, snowmobiling, and attending Nascar Races; all with family and friend.
Gene is survived by his wife of 44 years, Diana; children Justin (Judd) and wife Amy (Green Bay), and their children Nicole, Alisha and Quinn; Jody and Fiancé Mark Miller (Peshtigo), and his children Matthew and Trevor; Janae and special friend Travis Kunzer (Oconto Falls); Jaclyn (Jackie) and husband Rick Bongle (Sturgeon Bay), and their children RJ and Kyle; Jessie and husband Kurt Matzke (Forestville). He is further survived by his siblings and their spouses; Harvey & Helen Miller, Ray & Pam Miller, Barbara & Ron St. Peter, and Ethel & Jack Moller, sister-in-law Carrie & John VandenHoven, brothers-in-law; Bob Krueger, Michael & Lisa Streng, and William Egbert; numerous aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
In addition to his parents, Gene is also preceded in death by in-laws Donald Wallgren & Genevieve Burk, Sisters-in-law Dona Schaumberg and Laura Edbert.
Friends may call on Saturday from 9 until 11 A.M. at Faith United Ev. Lutheran Church, Town of Gillett. Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday at Faith United Ev. Lutheran Church, Rev. John Laatsch officiating. Burial will be in Wanderer’s Rest Cemetery.
The family of Gene would like to express their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the staff of Aurora’s 3rd floor Neuro Intensive Care Unit; especially Dr. Harrison, Dr. Lev, Dr. Matas and nurses Alisha, Kindel, Toni, Leah, Mary, Angie, and MaryLee. We cannot Thank You enough for your care and support you gave to Gene during this time.
