96, Wausau, formerly of Gillett, passed away Wednesday morning December 28, 2011 at Aspirus Hospice House, Wausau.
Arlene was born July 20, 1915, the daughter of the late Gust and Frances (Seidel) Hintz. On June 13, 1936, Arlene was united in marriage to Robert W. Melchior at St. John’s Catholic Church, Gillett. He preceded her in death May 21, 1991.
Arlene graduated from Gillett High School and Outagamie Rural Normal School, Kaukauna. She received her Bachelors Degree from the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh, and earned additional post-graduate credits in the educational field.
Arlene taught in the rural schools of Underhill and Gillett for four years, three years at Mosling State Graded School, two years at the Cecil Grade School and twenty-nine years as a kindergarten teacher in the Gillett School District. She also planned and taught the Federal Pre-school Summer Program for pre-school children for six summers. She was a member of the Wisconsin and National Education Associations, a member of St. John’s Catholic Church, Gillett and Altar Society.
Arlene is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law Mary F. Cole, Wausau; Patricia (Elton) Scheunemann, Green Bay; two sons and one daughter-in-law Joseph, Green Bay and William (Anna), Middlebury, IN. She is further survived by eleven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, four great- great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law Dorothy Melchior, Marjorie “Pudge” Melchior, both of Gillett; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Arlene was also preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters and a grandson.

FAIRES MAY I. (PARDUHN) SCHNEIDER,

89, Green Bay, formerly of Gillett, passed away on Wednesday afternoon December 21, 2011 at Gran Care Nursing Facility, Green Bay.
Faires May was born on June 2, 1922 in the Town of Oconto Falls to the late Rudolph and Celia (Benson) Delzer.
On June 2, 1945, Faires May married Willie F. Parduhn at Bethel Lutheran Church, Town of Green Valley. He preceded her in death June 17, 1962. She later married Harold J. Schneider on June 16, 1965 at Immanuel Lutheran Church now known as Faith United Ev. Lutheran Church, Town of Gillett, where she was a member. Harold preceded her in death August 6, 1992. She was a member of the Ladies Aide, at the church, since 1945.
Faires May enjoyed gardening, canning, embroidery and playing schmear.
Faires May worked side by side with her husband Willie, farming, in the fields, and milking cows. She baked and made wonderful meals for family and friends.
Faires May is survived by one sister Joyous Delight Ertz; three children Donald Parduhn, Richard (Pam) Parduhn; Marie (Louie) DeMuth; eight grandchildren Billy Parduhn; Bobby Parduhn, Melissa (Dave) Bezio; Mike (Sherri) DeMuth, Paul (Becky) DeMuth, John DeMuth, Holly (Dustin) Cole, Amber (Kevin) Kurth; four great grandchildren Ethan, Miranda, Rebecca, and Lucas.
Faires May was preceded in death by one brother Maynard; one sister-in-law Edna Svejda; one brother-in-law Joseph Ertz; and one niece Linda Svejda.
Friends may call at Faith United Ev. Lutheran Church, located on Old U off of State Hwy. 22 West, Town of Gillett, Saturday December 24, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. until the Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. John Laatsch officiating.

89, Gillett passed away peacefully early Saturday morning, December 3, 2011 at Community Memorial Hospital, Oconto Falls following a battle with cancer.
Olga was born February 22, 1922 in the Town of Maple Valley to the late Carl and Marie (Greb) Siech.
On February 21, 1942, Olga married Lyman Krause at the former Immanuel Lutheran Church, Town of Gillett. He preceded her in death June 6, 1989.
Olga was employed by Warvel Products, Gillett, where she retired.
She was a member of Faith United Lutheran Church, Town of Gillett and the ladies aid where she served as secretary. Olga enjoyed gardening, dancing, and traveling. She also enjoyed sports and was an avid Packer and Brewers fan.
Olga is survived by her son and daughter-in-law James A. and Gloria; Clintonville; her daughter and son-in-law Sandra M. and Jim Ostrowski; Round Lake Park, IL; one daughter-in-law Jane Krause, Clintonville; six grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren; three brothers and one sister-in-law Otto Siech, Minocqua; Julius Siech, Sheboygan; Ewald Siech, Plymouth; Agnes Siech, Sheboygan Falls; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Olga was also preceded in death by one son Gerald L. Krause; one grandson Rodney Krause, six brothers Edward (Florence) Siech, Adolph “Buddy” Siech, Herman Siech, Rudolph Siech, Henry Siech; two sisters Blanche (Adolph) Lockstein; Mary (Tom) Walsh; three sisters-in-law Juanita Siech, Ginny Siech, and Ruth Siech.
